Thank You for Your Service – Honoring Veterans

Thank you Veterans

Veterans Day is a day to honor all military veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and thank them for their sacrifice to our country.

Veterans Day Flags

Veterans Day, originally called Armistice Day, was first celebrated on November 11, 1919 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the end of World War I. The purpose of Armistice Day was to honor the fallen soldiers of The Great War for their sacrifice and bravery.  In 1954 President Dwight Eisenhower signed the bill amending the term “Armistice” with “Veterans” as a way to honor veterans of all U.S. wars.

Today, there are approximately 20 million living U.S. veterans from wars, including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.  Veterans Day is our opportunity to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice to defend our American freedoms.

Veterans Day also draws our attention to the challenges facing many veterans, including post-traumatic stress disorder, lasting injuries, disproportionate homelessness and suicide rates and other challenges integrating back into their daily lives.  We are forever grateful for their service, and it is our duty to care for and support those who have fought for our country.

We here at FedBiz Access honor that sacrifice and proudly offer a support service to help Veteran-Owned Small Businesses “VOSB” and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses “SDVOSB” (collectively “(SD)VOSB”) expedite registration for the certification as a VOSB or SDVOSB business eligible for certain federal contracts set-aside specifically under the (SD)VOSB designation.

We encourage everyone to take the time to thank a veteran today and every day for their service and sacrifice. – God Bless America!
