Overview

We proudly offer a support service to help business owners in disadvantaged areas expedite their registration for the HUBZone Program.

The Federal Governments statutory goal is awarding 3% of federal prime contracts to HUBZone small businesses.

Approximately $12 Billion awarded annually or just 2% of awards, under the goal of 3%. The federal government is actively seeking qualified HUBZone businesses to meet its goal.

HUBZone-certified businesses are given preference in full and open contract competitions, as well as a 10% price evaluation preference. HUBZONE CERTIFIED

3% of all federal contracting funds are targeted for HubZone businesses.

The HUBZone program was created in 1998 with the goal of spurring economic growth in historically underutilized business zones. To be eligible for the program, businesses must be located in a HUBZone and employ a staff that is largely composed of residents of the HUBZone. In return, HUBZone-certified companies are given preferential treatment when competing for federal contracts. The program has been incredibly successful, with HUBZone-certified companies receiving over $10 billion in federal contracts each year.

How it Works

We work with you to ensure your filings are complete and accurate, including:

  • Review and update your federal registrations – SAM & DSBS
  • File your HUBZone Employment and Principal Requirement Eligibility Forms
  • Submit identity verification paperwork, tax returns, and proof of citizenship
  • Process business ownership verification paperwork
  • Submit validation of lease/rental agreement/deed of principal office location
  • Submit copies of business utility bills and other requested verification docs
  • Verify at least 35% of your employees reside in a HUBZone

Every three years, you will have to re-certify your HUBZone status.

There’s no limit to how many times you can re-certify as long as you notify the SBA of any changes in status.

Once your HUBZone certification is completed, your Certification Specialist will refer you to one of our Marketing Specialist.

Separately, our Marketing Specialist can help you review Sole Source, HUBZone Set-Aside and Unpublished Contracts in your industry and work area and provide a quote for an engagement strategy to help connect you with these opportunities.
