Meet The FedBiz Access Team | Tracy Plant

FedBiz Access Employee Spotlight Tracy Plant

This week we meet Tracy Plant, our VP of Sales and the FedBiz Access “glue”.

Name: Tracy Plant

Position/Title: VP of Sales

Time at FedBiz: 7 years

Tracy Plant - VP of Sales

Experience: I was 15 when I got my first job. It was at a local K-Mart and they put me in the shoe department. That’s when I found my two loves, sales and shoes. 😊 I went on to a Fortune 500 company where I was in the top 3 for sales 18 years in a row. I have to say though it wasn’t until I came to FedBiz Access and became a Consultant that I found my true passion. In my 7 years here I have helped many small businesses with the daunting process of the federal registration to getting their first award. I was promoted from consultant to Sales Manager in my first year. Having no management experience, I looked to books and podcasts, but in the end I just did it my way. I came to work every day with the mindset of what can I do today to help in the success of my consultants, our prospects and our clients. I have such an amazing team that they truly made it easy for me. I learned all aspects of what we do here, and have assisted in research, marketing & business development. I am now VP of Sales and could not be more appreciative for the opportunities that FedBiz Access has provided me. I look forward to the future not only for FedBiz Access, but for our client family. After all, there would be no FedBiz Access if not for them!

What you enjoy most about working at FedBiz: I have to say the teamwork. I am surrounded by the best business development team, consultants, and fulfillment representatives that dedicate themselves to their clients and the goals they are looking to achieve.

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?: Wow, so many come to mind. I guess it would depend on who has to pay the bill. (Haha) Let’s start with I am not the one paying the bill. That would be Neiman Marcus and I would go straight to the shoe department and buy every Christian Louboutin and Valentino shoe they have in stock. Now let’s say I am the one paying the bill…it would be H&M. They are within my budget and have great styles.

What was your favorite band 10 years ago?: I enjoy all music, and that’s thanks to my sister. I grew up sharing a room and our wallpaper was album covers.  In the 80’s being a teen girl you had two things on at all time’s – Aqua Net hairspray and rock-n-roll on the radio. If I had to pic a favorite from 10 years ago it would be JJ Grey & Mofro. They are southern soul, blues rock band. Nothing better than a night out with the girls, small venue, JJ Grey & Mofro on the stage and just dancing the night away.

How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?: Hmm, that’s a tough question. I have my share of old shoes that I keep because I know they will come back. Everything comes back. Off the top of my head I will say my wedding shoes. White, closed toed, sling back, not too high of a heel, but perfect.
